Perast & Our Lady of the Rocks

2–3 hours · Price on request

Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) is a small artificial island off Perast, built up over centuries by local seafarers who, according to legend, began placing stones on a reef where an icon of the Virgin was found in 1452. Its blue-domed church holds paintings by Tripo Kokolja and a museum of votive offerings, including a famous embroidery said to have been stitched over many years with the embroiderer’s own hair. Each July, the Fašinada procession of decorated boats renews the tradition of adding stones. Cross by a short boat ride from Perast, view the neighbouring island of St George from the water, then stroll Perast’s baroque waterfront and palaces. Boat crossings, church museum entry, dress expectations and opening times must be checked for your dates; summer can be busy. This is a suggested itinerary, not a confirmed tour. Our concierge will agree transport, boat, tickets, any guiding, timing and the EUR quote with you before confirmation; none are included automatically.
